Flat Car
PRR #469530
52' Flat Car - part of the F41 class of 52' flatcars built for the Pennsylvania
Railroad (PRR) in 1955. The PRR built the F41 series of flatcars in the
mid-1950s. Built in two lots: The first 500 F41 cars, numbered 469500–469999, were
constructed between December 1955 and May 1956. A second, smaller group of 200 cars
(469300–469499) was completed later in 1956. This second group of cars was built
with ASF A-3 trucks. Many PRR freight cars, including those of this type, continued
to operate under the succeeding Penn Central and Conrail railroads.
